On Sunday February 5, 140 million Americans will tune in to the Super Bowl football game. There will be parties with abundant food, friendship and fellowship. At the same time, there will be people worrying about staying warm, finding shelter and a warm meal. Please join young people around the country as they demonstrate God’s love by loving their neighbors through the Souper Bowl of Caring. It’s a simple, yet significant act of caring for others. Our young people are developing hearts for giving that can last a lifetime. Please support their efforts.
Again this year Zion's youth will join with the Mission Committee to TACKLE HUNGER!!!
CHEER FOR OUR TEAM by coming to the Souper Bowl Lunch on February 5, after Sunday School (11:30AM), and bringing your food items or monetary donations. Last year members of Zion donated over $1000 for Meals on Wheels and the Fredericksburg Food Pantry. They also collected 450 non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry.
The Souper Bowl of Caring is a nationwide program to stop hunger. 100% of the donations stay in the local area where they are raised, and once again our donations will go to Meals on Wheels and the Food Pantry. If you can't attend the lunch, you may send your monetary donation to the office or drop it in the offering plate with a designation to Souper Bowl. Food items may also be left in the wagon in the atrium. Thank you in advance for your support!
