Mark Hierholzer has been the Music Director at Zion Lutheran Church for over 15 years. He directs three choirs at Zion: the Children's Choir on Tuesdays at 5:15 PM, the Chancel Choir on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM and the Men's Choir at 7:00 PM.
In addition, Mark also directs the Fredericksburg Chorale, a Community choir, on Mondays from 7 to 8:30 PM at Zion's Fellowship Hall. Then on every Wednesday, Mark offers the community improvisational concerts on the organ at 7:30 PM. On the second Saturday of each month, Dialogues and Dances performs in Fellowship Hall. These concerts are a vital ministry to the community to celebrate creativity. Mark also directs a young men's choir, League of David that meets on Sundays from 4:45-5:30. He also directs two community German choirs, the Arion Men's choir and the Hermannsohn's mixed choir. They rehearse where they have been meeting for the better part of the last century at St. Joseph's hall from 7:30-9 on Thursday evenings.
