Zion Lutheran St. Paul Lutheran, Cave Creek
When Pastor Harold came in the summer of 2009, he was called by both Zion Lutheran, and St. Paul Lutheran of Cave Creek (10 miles NE of Fredericksburg). Since then, both congregations have explored new ways of what it means to be church together. Since 2009, we have had joint worship services, fellowship activities, and fundraisers for our youth. One of the ministries that Zion and St. Paul have joined efforts on youth and family ministry. Zion is currently renovating the church basement to be the new Youth and Family Center for both church's youth, as well as a place to outreach to the community in new ways.
Zion is a town church, and St. Paul is a rural congregation, so what has been really neat is to draw from the rich faith traditions, diverse backgrounds, and different contexts to image in new ways how God might work through both congregations. Between these two churches, there is almost 300 years of ministry! We are excited in what the coming years with bring!
