Special Concern for August
is Lutheran World Relief, a non-profit organization that works with local partners to provide lasting solutions to poverty, injustice and human suffering. See the article on page 4 of the August issue of The Chimes.
Zion Lutheran has been a community of faith serving the Hill Country of Texas since 1852. Mission has been central to Zion for over 160 years, and this tradition continues today with our Early Head Start School, our new Youth and Family Center and by supporting local and global ministries. Zion Lutheran is also a Stephen Ministry congregation.
We are in partnership with the 10,396 congregations, 26 Lutheran colleges and universities, 8 seminaries, 450 global missionaries, 145 camps, and one of the largest non-profit social service networks in the United States; as well as Lutheran World Relief (LWR). All are ministries of the 4.5 million member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
We welcome you to come worship with us! Are you new to the Lutheran tradition? Check out our "What to Expect" page.
